Us – We thought we owned them. They were so dependent on us. After all, what we did was right for them. We loved them. They will always see that. We lived our life for them, didn’t we? We survived our marriage because of them. They owe us.
Them – Oof… so much pressure. I do not need them financially. It is because of them that we are ruined. My partner is so much better and smarter than them. Who needs them? We can do without that added headache. I do not need to do what pleases them. My life… my work… my family is what matters (my psychiatrist agrees)
Us – Life is long. What goes around comes around. We have learned that in our long life. What you do in life, good or bad, will come to you. I worry about you. Your future. When you realize it might be too late. It is worth to put the effort to make things right.
Them – Now is what we must focus on. We do not know tomorrow. We do what we know. Whatever happens in future, we will handle it. We are smarter.
Us – We wish you the very best. We are glad that you can stand on your own and do not need us. We think that is our success. Do come and say Hello sometimes. Not for our sake but for both of our sakes. Love you forever and ever and ever.
